AEI is a DOE recognized non-profit private school in the state of Florida, and is in compliance with the following state private school statutes 1002.42(2)(b), 1012.32, 1002.01,1003.23(2), 1003.22(1)(2), 1003.01(13),1003.21(1).
AEI also meets the statutes for high school students wishing to dual-enroll, s 1007.271 & 1003.43
Enrollment in AEI legally meets the compulsory attendance laws of Florida. Our Florida DOE number 3570. Our office is located in Broward County.
AEI students reside throughout the state and are taught primarily by their parents. Many of our students use online curriculum which includes FLVS. Our students also qualify (as any other private school in Florida) for dual-enrollment and we currently have articulation agreements with various colleges around the state.

Hillcrest Academy Free School (HAFS) is a private school designed for home educated students grades K-12. We are listed at the Florida Department of Education website in the Directory of Private Schools, as required of all private schools in Florida, under Santa Rosa County.
We are located in Santa Rosa County, but we provide an “umbrella” to members in all counties within the state of Florida. We offer our services FREE of charge.
